The Kern County Sheriff's Activities League is a non-profit group that was formed to offer activities for the youth of Kern County. Activities include academic tutoring, sports, crafts, games, computer training, leadership training, field trips and much more. SAL is a private organization, which is not funded by the County of Kern.
SAL is a volunteer driven program. We rely on members of law enforcement and the community to volunteer their time to mentor and work with the kids who participate in SAL programs. Without volunteer help, the SAL program would have to limit the number of kids who participate. It is our goal not to turn any child away.
OUR MISSION
The Kern County Sheriff's Activities League is dedicated to developing local youth into responsible, productive, and ethical citizens and reducing juvenile victimization, crime, and delinquency.
